Blueberry Banana Smoothie
Honey is added for sweetness and blanched almonds for garnish. Serve blueberry banana smoothie immediately.
Makes: around a Glass of Blueberry Banana Smoothie. Ingredients: Blueberries 1/4 Cup Chilled Milk 1 Cup Ripe Banana 1 Honey to Taste Sliced Blanched Almonds for Garnish Method of preparation: Peel and the banana and roughly chop it.
Blend all the ingredients in a blender smoothly. Pour into a serving glass and serve immediately.
Notes: Make sure to blend the blueberries well. Suggestions: Adjust sweetness with honey.

Combine flours, cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl. Make a well.
Add banana, vanilla, egg, yoghurt and oil. Stir until just combined.
Spoon into paper cases. Top with blueberries.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Stand in pans for 2 minutes.

Peel and chop the ginger lengthwise into slender pieces resembling match sticks. Grind green chillies, coriander and turmeric powder into a thick paste adding a few drops of water if required.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan and add the crushed peppers and the cumin seeds. When they crackle add asafoetida, besan and the ground paste at half minute intervals and saute together for two more minutes and switch off flame and then add the ginger.
Peel the cooked bananas and mash well. Add the banana mash and salt to the sauteed paste.
Knead together into a thick dough. Take a lemon size ball of the banana mixture and flatten it on your palm.
Make a hole in the center . Arrange a batch of banana rings on a greased hot tava, pour a spoon of oil around each banana ring and roast on low flame.
Turn over and cook the flip sides of the banana rings till they become golden in colour. Remove the spicy banana rings on to a plate.
Enjoy with tomato sauce, mint chutney or any other delicious dip of your choice. Do not overbeat. Add the walnuts and mix well.
Pour the mixture in the loaf pan and bake for around 45 mins. Baking time would vary depending on the size of the pan.
Check the bread with the toothpick. Cool for 10 mins in the pan and then remove it on a wire rack and let it cool completely.
To serve: Slice the bread and serve with a dollop of whipped cream. Storing: The bread keeps well for about 4 days outside.
If you want to store them longer, the best way would be to freeze them. Once the bread is cooled completely, wrap the whole thing in a plastic wrap and place inside freezer bags and freeze them.
When using, thaw it in the microwave. For freezing it, do not slice the bread.
This way, the moisture is locked inside. Mix well and form marble-sized balls. Deep fry the balls in hot oil and keep aside.
For the gravy: Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add the bay leaves and cumin seeds to it.
When the seeds crackle, add the ginger garlic paste, tomato puree, red chilli and garam masala powder and cook for 3-4 mins. Add water and salt and boil till the mixture thickens.
How to proceed: Add the koftas to the gravy and simmer for 5 mins. Sprinkle with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Add 1 tsp of cumin, 2 onions cut in large pieces and fry until onions turn pink. Add ginger garlic paste and green chillies fry for a little while.
Add chopped tomatoes and 5 cloves. Then add cinnamon stick, badam/cashew nuts, a little grated coconut.
Add salt, fry until tomatoes become soft. Cool the mixture and grind it with some coriander leaves.
Boil the mixture with the required amount of water to get curry consistency. Check salt.
Add a little sugar for taste. While serving, add fried koftas and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
